Chinatown

The Water Cube

Outside the Bird's Nest, the main Olympic stadium.

Timmy just grabbing a quick drink of fresh Beijing tap water.

Chinese corner store.

Weird Chinese sour milk drink that they have everywhere.

Waiting for the subway.

China turned 60 while we were there.

Deep-fried scorpion

Tiananmen square had a lot less tanks than we originally thought.

Bubby and Gabe got some sweet new hats.

The Forbidden City, and Tim and Gabe's cheerleader pose.

After barely making to our flight in once piece we landed in Beijing only know the Chinese words for "hello" and "beer." So pretty much we were set. We took a cab into the city and immediately noticed both the beauty of the city, as well as the massive amounts of smog. Beijing is an amazing city though with great sites, food, and people. We started off by going to the Forbidden Palace and Tienanmen Square both big monuments in the city. Gabe and Bubby picked up some sweet hats too. Then we hit up a street market for some deep-fried scorpion. It was...crispy. From there we walked around the city, braved the subway, and toured the Olympic center.
