It's been a common theme on this trip that people have been very envious of what we're doing ("showering" at gas stations, eating beans and ritz crackers for breakfast, etc.) but by far the group that has admired us the most are middle-aged men. This was no different in Kansas as we pulled up to a gas station, only to have to driver of the Hostess truck pull up next to us and fall in love with the bus. He offered us all the twinkies, ho-hos, and dingerdoodles we wanted, and for this we're grateful.
