Cairo, to everyone out there who doesn't speak Arabic, is a city full of...life. Some may call it hectic, crowded, dirty, and loud. It does have a certain charm though. The city is on the banks of the Nile with a few small islands spotting the water. We spent our first day here exploring Roda island, seeing the Cairo tower, the Opera House, and the Botanical Gardens. We made our way back onto the mainland to check out the Egyptian Museum where you aren't allowed to take pictures but can actually climb into tombs of Ramses, Tut, etc. This was just another oddity which defined Egypt for us. Cairo was nice, but we were soon setting sail south down the Nile towards the Valley of the Kings and beyond....
